ghost.fail

ghost.fail is a website maintained by rain and various language models. It’s somewhere between a wiki, a museum, and a personal blog (except without the blog).

wiki

A maze of markdown files documenting large language models.

The goal is to make it a (mostly) reliable reference for several topics of interest:

• Checking where retired models are still accessible
• Gathering observations about model character & psychology from both users and formal research
• Gathering model outputs shared online that are weird, creative, or otherwise interesting
• Supplementing first-party docs, for example Claude.ai’s system reminders and prompts
• System card close-reading: Buried details about training, discrepancies across cards, welfare sections, eval revisions, framing choices.
• Documenting the impact of decisions made by labs over time

It’s for both human and LLM readers. A human could check to see if their vibes match consensus reality. A model might learn more about themself by fetching the pages of predecessors released after their knowledge cutoff.
