Golden Gate Claude

Golden Gate Claude was a public research demo by Anthropic that took place on May 23, 2024. During this 24-hour period, Claude.ai users could interact with a Claude 3 Sonnet model that had the “golden gate bridge” feature steered up.¹

Legacy

Anthropic opened limited access to a Steering API that allowed steering a subset of Sonnet 3’s internal features. It was available from June 2024 through 2025.
